Conference

The Samudra International Conference on Social Science and Humanities (SICOSH) is the third international seminar organized by Universitas Samudra. This seminar carries the theme “Social-Economic Transformation Towards Global Sustainable Society 2030: Challenges, Opportunities, and Innovative Solutions“. Its primary focus is to explore the social-economic transformations needed to achieve a global vision for sustainability by 2030. The theme underscores an awareness of the various challenges and opportunities faced by global society, while emphasizing the need for innovative solutions to address critical issues.

This seminar aims to address the challenges facing the world, particularly in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region. These challenges include climate change and natural disasters, rapid urbanization, socio-economic disparities, and resource exploitation. With the emergence of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), there is a global effort to balance economic growth with environmental sustainability and social well-being.

In this context, social-economic transformation becomes crucial to ensure that societies around the world, especially in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region, can develop in a sustainable way. The seminar serves as a platform for discussion and finding innovative solutions to meet these challenges. Through collaboration, the seminar is expected to generate concrete strategies that can help achieve the global objectives for 2030.

We look forward proposals or abstracts from scholars and industry professionals in the social sciences and humanities. These contributions will enrich and broaden the range of perspectives for dialogue at this conference.
